Indoor Security Camera Price in Jordan: The Right IMOU Camera for Babies, Elderly Parents and Pets
, by Bestways Team, 9 min reading time
Indoor security camera price in Jordan explained: which IMOU camera suits a baby's room, an elderly parent living alone or your pets, with prices from 19 JOD and a 12-month warranty from the official distributor.
Many families in Jordan want an easy way to check on home during the day: a baby asleep with a babysitter, an elderly parent who lives alone, or a cat left in the flat while everyone is at work or university. If you are comparing the indoor security camera price in Jordan, the good news is that a capable Wi-Fi camera does not cost much. At Bestways, the official IMOU distributor in Jordan, IMOU indoor cameras start from 19 JOD. This guide explains which model suits which need, so you pay only for the features you will actually use.
What to look for in an indoor camera for family and pets
Most IMOU models for indoor use share the same basics: Wi-Fi connection, AI human detection, infrared night vision, microSD recording and the Imou Life app on iOS and Android. The differences that matter for a family are:
- Listen only or two-way talk: some models only have a microphone, others have a microphone and a speaker so you can talk back.
- Fixed or pan & tilt: a fixed wide-angle camera watches one area; a pan & tilt camera turns 355° to cover the whole room and can follow movement.
- What it detects: human detection is standard; some models add pet detection and an abnormal sound alarm.
- Calling: a few models have a button on the camera, so a child or an elderly parent can call your phone with one press.
- Privacy: privacy mode hides the lens when you are at home, so the camera is not watching all the time.
For babies and young children
For a nursery or children's room, the priority is a clear view of the cot or bed, a sound alert and the option to listen in. The IMOU Cue 2C is the most affordable choice: 1080P video, a 108° diagonal view, infrared night vision up to 10 m and an abnormal sound alarm that can tell you when a baby is crying. Note that the Cue 2C has a microphone but no speaker, so you can listen but not talk.
If you want to speak to your child or the babysitter, choose the IMOU Cue 2 3MP. It records 2K (2304 × 1296) video through a wide 133° lens, has two-way audio, human and pet detection, and privacy masks that hide up to four areas from live view and recordings. Its magnetisable bracket also sticks to metal surfaces such as a fridge or an iron door, so you may not need to drill.
For a larger room where children move around, the Ranger 2 3MP and Ranger 2 5MP pan 355° and tilt from -5° to 80°, follow movement with smart tracking and lower the lens in privacy mode with one tap.
For elderly parents living alone
Many Jordanian families have a parent who stays at home in Amman, Irbid or Zarqa while the children work long hours or live abroad. Here the most useful feature is easy communication. The IMOU Rex VT has a one-touch video call button on the camera and a 2.4-inch screen that shows the date, time, weather and privacy status. It records 5MP (2880 × 1620) video, has infrared night vision up to 20 m, and can play recorded voice memos as reminders. A physical privacy shield flips the lens down when it is not needed.
The IMOU Ranger 2 Pro 5MP is a lower-cost option with a one-touch call button, a larger speaker for clearer two-way talk, smart full-colour night vision up to 10 m and dual-band Wi-Fi 6. Whichever you choose, agree with your parent where the camera goes and when privacy mode is on. A camera works best when everyone is comfortable with it.
For cats, dogs and other pets
If you want a pet camera that alerts you about your pet rather than every movement, choose a model with pet detection: the Cue 2, Ranger 2 Pro, Rex VT or Ranger 2 Dual 3+3MP. The Ranger 2 Dual has two lenses in one camera, a pan & tilt lens plus a fixed lens you can turn by hand, so you can watch the sofa and the food corner at the same time, with full-colour night vision up to 15 m.
For pet owners who travel or work long shifts, the IMOU Smart Pet Feeder PF1 combines a 4 L automatic feeder with a 2.5K 360° camera. It serves meals on a schedule from the app, skips a portion when food is still in the bowl, and keeps feeding during power cuts with backup batteries (D-size, not included).

Recording: microSD card, cloud or NVR
All the Cue, Ranger and Rex cameras in this guide record to a microSD card: up to 512GB on most models and up to 256GB on the Cue 2C. Most models also support IMOU cloud storage, and you can record several cameras on an ONVIF NVR such as the IMOU N110W. For most homes a microSD card is the simplest start; the IMOU 128GB card gives more space if you keep continuous recording on. The Ranger 2 Pro also has AOR all-day saving recording with H.265, which helps a card last longer.
Setup tips for Jordanian homes
- Check the Wi-Fi first. Thick walls in many apartments can weaken the signal. The Ranger 2 3MP and 5MP use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and also have an Ethernet port; the Ranger 2 Pro and Ranger 2 Dual support dual-band Wi-Fi 6.
- Place it with purpose. Aim at the cot, the parent's favourite chair or the pet's corner, not at a bright window.
- Use privacy mode. Turn it on when the family is at home; the Ranger 2 Pro can also do this on a schedule.
- Tell household helpers. Let the babysitter or home helper know that a camera is in use.
- Secure the app. Use a strong password on your Imou Life account.
