Description The Hikvision DS-PDD15AM-EG2 is a wired dual-tech detector that combines PIR with 24 GHz smart microwave and adds anti-masking, anti-cloaking and anti-blocking detection for higher-security sites. It covers 15 m with an 85.9° angle and 52 detection zones .
Its non-interfering technology allows back-to-back installation without penetration through the wall, so it can be installed and set up quicker than traditional dual-tech detectors. Automatic sensitivity, digital temperature compensation and IFT technology help prevent false alarms. It runs on 9–16 VDC and provides a normally closed (NC) alarm output.
Note: this is a wired detector. It connects by cable to a wired zone of an alarm control panel or input expander (see "Works With" below).
What Is Anti-Masking?
Anti-masking means the detector notices if someone tries to disable it while the alarm is off, for example by covering the lens, spraying it or placing something in front of it. It then sends a warning to the alarm panel, so you know the detector has been tampered with before you arm the system.
Anti-cloaking: helps detect an intruder trying to hide their body heat from the PIR sensor.
Anti-blocking: detects an object placed close in front of the detector to block its view.
